Everyone by now knows about Google's Street View feature in Google Maps. If you ask my views about the penetration of Google Maps, I do not know if I am terrified or delighted. More delighted as it does not feature my house yet!But to reveal the real thing do you know Google used the camera shown in above image for its street view images. Its an awesome 11-sided camera which works best for the purpose. And just to make things more clear it wasn't Google itself which took all the images. Immersive Media was the company which was part of the project.
The Google van has higher resolution than Immersive Media's system. Compare this image of New York with this one of San Francisco.
